Typical Properties:MBTS provides moderate processing safety and moderately fast cures with flat plateau. Compounds based on MBTS have slight better aging and reversion resistance than corresponding ones based on sulfonamides.
MBTS can be boosted by use if secondary accelerators to achieve a faster cure and a higher modulus.
Recommended Applications:In widest range of application areas for MBTS is in industrial rubber products, including footwear, hose, roofing, automotive, etc. Given flat, moderately fast cures in NR, SR and purpose rubber. Non-staining/non-discolouring in white socks, use as a plasticizer and or retarder in polychloroprene rubber. Secondary acceleration is usually required for synthetic polymers. Better scorch safety than MBT. |
